Water Supply Report
Since the last report on our water plant, we have continued to move forward with the necessary maintenance. Besides a few leak repairs there were a couple of larger items that have been completed.
FIRST: Maintenance took place in early December to clean and vacuum the Storage Tank at our well site. This required a diver to go into the storage tank so that he could remove built up sediment from the bottom of the tank. This process had specialized equipment and required constant underwater communications. During this process we lost no pressure and cleanup went well.
SECOND: Our emergency generator has served us well and functioned on three separate occasions without a hitch. This generator requires fueling and maintenance such as filters and oil changes. This requires someone to regularly oversee the operation. We have selected one as our regular Generator Maintenance Operator. The operator will be certified by Taylor, our generator manufacturer. The maintenance contract will be done by Kirby Maintenance Services, Wadsworth, Texas.
As reported before, we are still moving forward on projects including replacing the pressure tank, installing an additional well, replacing old cement piping, and establishing isolation valves, among other items. This will keep our system running smoothly.
Again, your patience during any upgrades is appreciated and we try to keep them to a minimum and as short as possible. Notification will be posted on our website, on Facebook, and for those on file, by email.
